Néstor García, Sharework Technical coordinator and Principal Investigator at Eurecat’s Robotics and Automation Unit, has presented the Sharework project at the Hispack 2022 congress, celebrated from the 24th to the 27th of May in Barcelona.
Néstor García delivered the presentation “Sharework space for packaging industry”, in which two of the project case studies were explained: the implementation of collaborative robotics during the assembly of servo rotatory tables at GOIZPER shop floor in order to assist the operator and improve product quality, and human-robot collaboration application to improve ALSTOM railways’ door and window frames manufacturing process, as well as to support the operator to prepare the piece for riveting and do a quality check. He also explained to attendees the latest trends and state of the art research in collaborative robotics for the packaging sector. In addition, the other two use cases of the project for the automotive and the metal industry were mentioned.
With this presentation, García showcased the possibilities and potential applications of state-of-the-art research in collaborative robotics for the packaging sector.
