Sharework partner Dionisis Andronas, from the Laboratory for Manufacturing Systems & Automation of the University of Patras, has presented the paper “Operator training framework for hybrid environments: an augmented reality module using machine learning object recognition” in the 9th CIRP Conference on Assembly Technology And Systems (CATS 2022), held in Leuven (Belgium) in a hybrid format the 6th-8th of April.
This paper, produced witihin the context of the Sharework project, has been presented during the session “Human-robot interaction and collaboration” presents the training module that aims on addressing assembly training and operator acclimatization on hybrid workstations using Augmented Reality technology.
The central theme of this edition of CATS has been “Flexible Assembly and Disassembly Systems”, where experts from industry and academia have met to present and discuss the latest developments and trends in the wide field from manual towards fully automated (dis)assembly technologies.
