Daniel Serrano, Eurecat Robotics and Automation Unit Director, has disseminated Sharework project under the framework of the HRI2022 EU meet-up, celebrated the 9th-10th of March in Barcelona.
Daniel Serrano has delivered a presentation on Eurecat capabilities in cognitive robotics and human-robot interaction. Amongst the key projects presented, Sharework has been highlighted as a coordinated EU-funded project developing a modular system to implement collaborative robotics in industrial shopfloors a more effective and safely way.
Within Sharework, Eurecat leads the development of a software to allow robots to interpretate the data coming from the workspace and identify the task that the worker is executing, as well as provide robots the necessary knowledge to locate and detect the body posture of the workers without using markers nor devices on the body, and thus, facilitate the interaction between workers and robots in a shared space without fences.
In addition, a roll-up of the project was displayed at the event facilities at Ca l’Alier, in Barcelona. Consult all the Sharework communication materials here.
The HRI2022 EU meet-up is a satellite event of the ACM/IEEE International Conference on Human-Robot Interaction 2022 (HRI2022), which has been celebrated in parallel in Japan from the 7th-10th of March.
The meet-up, organised by Eurecat alongside PAL Robotics and the University of Ghent, aimed to watch a selection of keynotes and oral presentations related to human-robot interaction, as well as networking with colleagues from across the region in an informal atmosphere.
